Futuristic Cities Of The World

When I first traveled to cities such as Dubai and Singapore, it instantly made me say to myself "This is a city that is living in the future." I think Dubai and Singapore are living in the future, and any other city that wants to be modern and futuristic should learn a few things from these amazing cities that can teleport you to the year 2075.

  1. Futuristic, sleek buildings. Dubai and Singapore have this in common: they both have sleek, tall skyscrapers that give the city more of an advanced, high-tech feel. Buildings such as the Burj Kalifa in Dubai and Marina Bay Sands are some of the most unique buildings I have ever seen.

2. Safe pedestrian walkways and paths. Dubai has lovely, sleek, polished stones for pedestrians to walk on. The walkways are also the biggest I have seen in the world. The street lights are well-timed for pedestrians. Singapore also has its "No Gum" policy. This makes the streets very clean and welcoming. Another thing I love about Singapore is that they have a no J-Walking rule. It prevents pedestrians from getting hit by cars and feels much safer.

3. Lots of delightful gardens, running paths, and parks. Singapore has these amazing gardens called Gardens By The Bay, and it has a fog room, flower garden, observatory buildings for you to look out at the city, and lots of kid-friendly activities. This is by far the most beautiful garden I have ever seen!

In Dubai, they have this very nice, big running path along the water. It allows runners, scooters, and bikes to ride on this lovely path with a view of the bay and the futuristic buildings of Dubai.

4. Kids' activities are everywhere! Have you ever seen a mall with an ice skating rink, a ski mountain, a world made just for kids that simulates real life for adults (KidZania) a movie theater, and an arcade? In Dubai, you will never run out of activities to do. I love how Dubai makes it so you will never be bored in a place sometimes people can find boring, so if your mom needs to go shopping for some new clothes and she doesn't want you whining or complaining around her, just go drop into KidZania! What about if you need to do a work call or spend some time doing emails? No problem! There is a kids-free zone so you can be more productive while kids learn how to do tasks and spend their "money" on activities, chocolate making, ice cream, pizza making, and they even have a McDonalds in the world made just for kids!

This is a picture of Cecily and me doing a task in KidZania. (Yes, it's always night there and it is inside the mall!)

You can even work at real companies such as DHL and deliver packages to other stores!

5. They prioritize their citizens and visitors with advanced delivery and service. Both Dubai and Singapore are easy to get taxis and food delivery with a press of a button on your phone. They even have laundry services. They clean your clothes, iron them, and fold them all for you while you get your food right when they pick up your laundry! This is why I think Dubai and Singapore are living in the future.

Conclusion

Dubai and Singapore are cities that are living in the future, and I think that other cities should learn a few things from Dubai and Singapore. They are futuristic cities because they have futuristic, sleek buildings, safe pedestrian sidewalks that are clean and you can practically lick your spilled food off the floor, Lots of lovely gardens and running paths, kids activities everywhere, and they prioritize their citizens with advanced technology for delivery, laundry, and grocery services. If any city wants to be a futuristic city, they should learn things from Singapore and Dubai.

Wow I never thought of this. I’ve been to Singapore and I totally agree. It has such a futuristic vibe. Maybe the US could learn a few things😁
